Unhappiness

There was a time I never felt like this-

So down and depressed, and feeling that the whole world’s against me.

I just want that rush back, the joyous feeling-

To feel normal and child-like, to not have any worries.

I want that happy time in my life- the best time in the world for me.

But I recognize that you can’t feel joy without facing sorrow first.

And, without pain, you can never appreciate bliss.

But you also always, ironically, realize the trouble you’re in

Because of this fickle-minded universe.

I just want the good part of life without the bad parts,

The ups and not the downs, the joyous moments not the sad ones.

Huh, don’t we all?

I think I know how you feel as I feel exactly the same way. I really wish we could all go back to being kids where our main problem was which crayon to choose. Well expressed. I hope you feel better =]
