Society...how fickle

Society...how fickle

This article talks about how fickle-minded our society is.

Always feeling the need to do something extreme? Try doing just the opposite till you surprise yourself by bursting in unexpected ways. That'll help you discover yourself in new and unimaginable ways.
Then again you re-think things, like wanting to protect all those dear to you, but then you end up accidentally killing something you didn't even want to kill. Like wanting to kill the mosquito population, but end up killing a harmless moth because of stupidity. It's quite strange, but one ends up getting quite used to it. Strange world, isn't it?
Every time a bubble of happiness comes; there is always a sharp pin, ready to burst it. It's like life is full of pins and many obstacles and people have to actually jump over them to reach their final destination. And this is actually termed as 'experience'. For what? There's no point in all this, because after having so many 'experiences', one gets so fed up with having to live the way they do, and just decide to 'relax', I. e. settle down. Retire; do nothing. It's actually pathetic.
Also there's the case of etiquette. We're always expected to follow some sort of protocol, some rule of some sort. Then people always say, "Don't worry, just be you. You'll do fine." Ironical, isn't it? It's really just sad, because one always wants to come across someone who is 'different', but in reality one actually never does. We meet all sorts of people who want to burst out and do something different and be different, but never do because of 'society'. 'Society' says it's unacceptable. And the unfortunate thing is that everyone gets trapped in this. It's like one big, huge trap.
Getting back to reality after a beautiful dream or a wondrous story is really difficult. One would need a slap or shake them self hard to come back to earth. It's better to stay in a parallel universe than come back to harsh reality. Of course then that would be called the perfect world and people need imperfections to realize how to appreciate the perfections in this world. It's really amazing how people live in this harsh reality of a world called 'earth'.
People try to be cynical most of the time, but it often ends up looking as if they're trying to get away from something they find horrible. Cynical or suspicious people often end up getting hurt faster than those who are less cynical, or are rarely cynical.
How about the eternal question of love? And the questions that revolve around it? Like, what love actually is and how does one know when one is actually is in love. Typical of people. Now that's cynical. People deny being in love, and then in the end (most times) they confess to being in love with one another. Typical. Also when people say they don't fall on love with others easily, one almost immediately becomes suspicious. Why? That's an eternal question. Stories can be (and already have been) written about love. So dwell not on a trivial, but stupid, matter.
Ever felt such hatred, anger or strong, negative emotions that you'd go in to an extreme mode? Try it. It helps one feel so much better that one would feel at peace.
