Missing Moments

Missing Moments

A Poem by JUSTWRITING
"

Missing those moments that only friendship and companionship can provide

"
I miss the laughter,
The joyous moments we stole together,
Those furtive looks,
And the inside jokes
That cracked us up.

I miss those weekends
We used to meet,
And just talk
Or go for lovely walks,
And the long weekends we would pack up,
Just going for road trips.

I miss the freedom we had
Especially when we were together -
We could be ourselves and do almost whatever suited us.

Alas, we grew up
And further apart we went
Losing touch with each other,
Making other, new friends along the way.

But I will never forget those
Precious memories we had with each other
That made up for most of our childhood -
Those will stay in our hearts forever
Connecting us in ways otherwise impossible,
For our friendship and love was a rare gem.
