To Give up or not?

We all feel like quitting, but then what's the point of it all?

Open your eyes and
Look at the world
With a different perspective.


Whatever happens, happens-
Be it for a reason, or to make a difference.
The point is not giving up.
Rather, it's trying before quitting
And getting up when you fall down.


You learn that lesson in life-
Either early on, or later in life,
But it's one of life's lessons
That's for everyone
Not just an individual.


I try telling that to myself,
But the point is
It doesn't always work.
I try to do something
But I'm not ready to get back up
Immediately.
I need time, and patience
Both of which I don't have.


But by no means am I a quitter,
Just a slow learner
Who's still that- a learner.
But then aren't we all?


However, if there's one thing that life has taught me
Through the years
Is that;
Don't give up
Better things await you at the other end
So, get up and keep going.

Some people learn the opposite: that trying only winds yourself further 'round obscurity.

You say that you correct people yourself, so I hope you won't mind me pointing out that you miss out on one "it's" in "rather, its [sic] trying before quitting" -- you do it correctly elsewhere. (Your grasp of the language is probably linked to your huge amount of reading: I am envious of what I assume is your multi-lingualism).
