Contemplations; Life et al

"

Philosophical thoughts on our race for success and life...in a poetic form

"
We define ourselves by the things we know,
The things we do
And the actions we show to the world.
We never acknowledge the fact
That there are several other factors
Involved in our race for success-
The people we meet and befriend,
The help we get from our environment,
And what we call fate (as much as we try to ignore it).

Similarly, our journey of life
Is defined on similar terms
As it brings together the many forces
That brought us to where we stand today,
In our current position.
We may enjoy it, complain about it
Try to lose it or end it,
But the fact remains that our life is there-
Whether we appreciate it or not.

Life continues the way we want it to,
The way fate wants it to
And the way Someone wants it to.
It is never up to us completely,
Although we have choices in our life
That leads us to another fork in the road,
Another turning point that tells another story.

The whole point of it
Is to live life with its problems, solutions
Ups, downs and contemplations
So that, at the end of it all,
We can say that we did our best
To live life to our full potential
Whatever age life may snuff out.
Much like the rat race for wealth, power and success.
