Day Light Savings

Day Light Savings

A Poem by maddie

I awaken abruptly to the violent buzzing of my alarm clock

I open my eyes slowly, finding myself staring at a pitch black world with a singular white light

I hit snooze and continue gazeing

I am not used to this kind of atmosphere first thing in the morning

My pulse begins to race

For I realize the beautiful change that is about to occor
