Autum Morning

Autum Morning

A Poem by maddie

The calming chirps of the birds

The orange, red, and yellow leaves

The sun’s rays peaking up over the horizon yonder

An autumn morning cannot be described in words

It brings me despair when winter thieves

In my mind, autumn mornings I ponder

As each night grows colder

The days begin to die younger

Each night tears fall down my face

The winter is like a large bolder

To my precious autumn that I so hunger

Nothing is left of it, not a trace

Ironic how Autumn is nature preparing for winter, yet I am inclined to agree with you:)
