The intricacies of life

         The intricacies of life

                                                People come, people go

  People live, people die

  And they laugh, then they cry.

  They say hi, then Goodbye

   And you wonder what it takes,

                                        To live this crooked life?     

   

   People ask,

   How are you today?

   You smile and say

   I’m fine, I am doing okay.

   But your soul, it heaves a sigh

   Fake a smile, wants to cry. 

   And you wonder yet again,

                                        Is this life worth a try ?          

         

  Then, suddenly in a flash

   All the gloom goes away like trash.

                                        Boundless joy,  dizzying  heights.

    Beautiful days and dazzling nights.

    Into the unknown, take a dive

                                         For this is what it feels to be alive!

    p.s- In spite all the pain you feel, if you have moments that are so intense with joy, that it blots out all the pain, you know your life is worth living. Make these moments count. Carpe Diem !

The format really adds to the poem itself showing the unevenness gives a visual to the uneven parts of life...
One suggestion: in this sentence... All the gloom goes away like trash. you might consider putting the word blows in place of the word (goes) like this:
All the gloom blows away like trash. Just a suggestion... Again... very nice job

that's really a serious work..
i could identify with the poem..
the way u described the hurdles we come across but still we face it to enjoy the positive aspect of life..

these lines were my fav.
