The Anarchist and The OtherA Poem by deepshadebegging one and the same neither exists with the other but cannot live without each one. Hiding in the light they stand in each others shadow. Who shall win but why they never fight. Get down on your knees and pray for them, the anarchist has you in sight that which has been will not stay for long because I know have that which I sought But for we all have seen from behind different eyes they fight for the need to survive they shant for their survival. For if they live in each others shadow then they secretly may stand side by side because they may both seek their own fair maiden.
Fair maiden standing across the way looking on the shadowed faces glaring, the city burns around set off by the shadowed anarchist while the other fights the damage they stand back to back one against the other but together they stand against the rest
As the maiden watches she wonders to herself is the destruction and chaos due to her. Has she separated the two? Grant they stand together against the rest she cannot help but wonder
Facing her each holds out a hand. Shadows blend showing one then two hands. Light shifts showing tormented grin and a smiling face. At war inside looking out never knowing plunging head first they seek the maiden. © 2010 deepshade |
