The Place I'm Living In

The Place I'm Living In

A Poem by deep sea connor

We carry our wounds with us
Where ever we go
As we walk off into the light
Into the land that no soul knows
We get to our destination
That destiny had no part in
Only intoxicated ascension
We arrive with our scars
And necks full of pain
From looking at the sky full of stars
Sparkling like diamonds from the songs
When we're up there with Lucy
Nothing appears ugly
Follow us up into the sky, you'll see
Where the ones you hurt forgive
And your bubble doesn't burst
That's the place I'm living in

best lines: "Only intoxicated ascension
We arrive with our scars
And necks full of pain
From looking at the sky full of stars"
