this boy

this boy

A Poem by sharma

let me start with the basic point,

i am in love
to this boy who is barely above his  thirteen
he is ugly
not tall and not even strong
and one cannot say he is handsome.
yet there is something
 some magic, some devilry
that adds to his flair and chivalry

it may be his senses or his mind
or it may be his words or actions
the sly wit, the coy expressions
the silly daring reactions
that contribute to the charisma unbeatable
clean, rough, rugged with a tiny hint of  sweet

i desire an intimacy with this creature
not possibly in a bed
nor do i see us gathering kisses
in the cozy lovers embrace
yet touching him is remotely possible
to remain unknown yet acquainted

before the ground swallows me,
i have a confession to make
to devil who chooses to hear
a confusion's so unfair
can there be love
without a percent of lust?
or it may be an infatuation affair
for a girl of twelve to love a boy
is it really that rare?
