Affection

Love and hugs should be a resource for anyone and everyone.

I urge for love, 

Those around me may too, 

I just hope with these feelings, 

they will soar like a dove. 

So,

Why must affection

result in 

destruction? 

We all hope for a gorgeous resolution,

Then why should it create depression?

The pain is pollution, 

Desolation,

Leaves you in an irritating isolation. 

Love should make you feel great, 

Relieve those shoulders from weight,

push aside the heaps in the junkyard of hate, 

and keep you living,

happily and peacefully,

With your soulmate.

Nice poem, my friend. The rhythm and flow was very smooth but very unique and expressive of the tone you're trying to convey, and that's something to be admired. The contradictions brought an interesting twist. A very enjoyable read. Thank you for sharing :)
