Somebody

Somebody

A Poem by Livi Mariotti
"

Someone, anyone?

"
Somebody could be reading this,
or maybe not so much.
Somebody might be seeing these words, though.
Somebody could love it
Somebody may disapprove.
Somebody would judge it,
or someone will be moved.

Somebody could be writing the same thing I have written,
In their head or with their own hands.
Some person out there, somewhere, is doing what they wish.
Working hard, going far, wings spread wide,
Somebody is going to fly.

Roaming through the soggy mist,
Somebody hears the sound of reprimands.
It is war and a loss of pride,
Somebody is about to cry.

Somebody is feeling how you feel,
Someone is a bit off.
Another is symmetrical to how your emotion falls,
and someone else is not, not at all.
Our beings can interfere, or be one to support.
Can somebody help me?
Somebody, anybody?
Help me, someone, please,
For somebody is about to die.
