The Following DaysA Poem by Livi MariottiYou never know what is in store for youTomorrow may leave sorrow, Or maybe success And possibly this depression Is all just excess. For the hope of accomplishment tomorrow, And achievement I must reach, In my lifetime, what lessons will I teach? So live through the periodical pain, And continue your novel, Because you never know what the future will have you gain. Someone will look at what you have done and marvel, Those will be proud, People will be smile, And you can push aside your depression cloud as you reach for another mile, The following day, I feel trapped in the dark, And as I strive for a spark, I hope for the best, But feel a downwards slope. My emotions are put to the test, And I feel like a mess, But as I breathe I remember Do not worry. Because the following days Could be storing hope. © 2016 Livi MariottiFeatured Review
