A Poem by deejayb567

Memories service a dying heart
relenting to those unfulfilled
Touching a soul that it may not die
beneath the weight of life

Seek not to take the breath away
nor take that not owned
Selfish is as selfish claims
until ruin becomes its all

Why do you speak your fear (to me)
Who painted the mask on your soul.
Can you not speak words of clarity
Where is that place called home?

So as the beggar seeks warmth of fire
and the drunken fool a brew
I'll continue my quest for memory for there
cannot be one without you

this piece has a lot of depth beyond it's surface. I like it a lot and the message it conveys about home and what it means to be connected. thank you for sharing it with WC.

peace and love
