That Perfect PlaceA Poem by declangrayA work in progress, a song I started a few months ago and forgot about. When I write songs it happens in 5 minutes or less then I get back to them to finish. This one I haven't got back to yet.the rain is pourin', down on his head wind picks up, takes his silent regrets he looks up, smiles, asks is this your best? standing tall, he's not beaten down yet
take me away, to that perfect place where the sun always shines and memories don’t erase show me the painting on the wall that still shows your face the perfect reality that we don’t have to chase
snow is fallin', down by her feet the temperature drops, close to freeze she looks up, smiles, says i cant be beat standing strong, she's still on her feet
take me away, to that perfect place where the sun always shines and memories don’t erase show me the painting on the wall that still shows your face the perfect reality that we don’t have to chase
