A Poem by Declan Cooney
"

Originally wrote this as a "battlerap" to go drill a f****n hole in my ex's boyfriend's head, but just revisited it lately cause I had a dream that I spat a freestyle in front of 18,000 people. It needed a third stanza, now it has one. AUDIO NOW AVAILABL

"

You better mark every word spittin off of your lips

Or I’ma bag you and drag you into an unforeseen ditch

Drench you with gas and create open flame

Screamin’ “I’ll kick your teeth in, if you mention her name!”

Tell you you’re gonna die, like Hitler and his wife

Burning in the hatred of what’s thought to be right

Creating and composing your illiterate dreams

I split you like Vishnu, guarding my triad of rings

I’m passed you in ethics, morals, and thoughts

But I harbor more hate than gangsters shoot at cops

So don’t see my violence as a phlegmatic threat

Cause you know I will grip you and put blades to your neck

I’m not the passive, aggressive, silent teen you once saw

My existence is unscripted, primal, and raw

I’m different, divided, and remiss to the law

Splitting every f*****g straw that I draw

But why should you care, you’re in a hole, soaked in death

Here’s a lit match and a gun, now try and choose your own death

Neglect any conception of trying to ascend

I release all my fury with the might of the pen

Just know you must respect that which you can’t comprehend

And f****n’ with that balance will bring your imminent end

I’m tempted with redemption, every damn day

Infected with recklessness, what can I say?

Twisted and yet enlisted into this mysterious ring

Of violent emotions that persuade me to scream

And rip some sick lyrics that are intended burn

Leaving you nauseous, I scar you like cancer

I’ll be your disease, killing you slow

You’ll wish you had an end like that f*g in the hole

You’ll recant your relations, and repeat to me your life

While I’m smiling, not listening, sharpening my knife

You misread my messages and transpose them to lies

You wanna threaten my family? Look me in the eyes

And tell me what you want to do, how you’ll f**k with my blood

I’ll beat your bare knuckles, suffocate you in mud

And teach y’all the lesson, you should’ve know from the start

Keep your distance from my fam, and don’t you dare f**k with my heart

Neglect any conception of trying to ascend

I release all my fury with the might of the pen

Just know you must respect that which you can’t comprehend

And f****n’ with that balance will bring your imminent end

In the end, you forget the middle, climax and start

You forget the conflict, rising action, the art

You thought you wrote the novel, but you’re stuck in the plot

You thought that I would grovel, but I put you in my spot

Now I write upon your destiny, with a heavy lettered hand

Should I take all you love? Or just turn you to sand?

So you can know for eternity what its like to be low

Stepped on, kicked around, melted and blown

Know how it feels to be in pieces, and never to be loved

Know what its like to feel small, and never once thought of

You toyed with my malevolence and received what you deserved

I issued my animosity and righteously observed

I am beyond solving conflict, and defining details

Any action is obsolete and ultimately destined to fail

So I fire one warning shot into this tank of propane

And leave you to renew your life as a flame

Neglect any conception of trying to ascend

I release all my fury with the might of the pen

Just know you must respect that which you can’t comprehend

And f****n’ with that balance will bring your imminent end
