Ch. 3

Ch. 3

A Chapter by Decaf

As Bill’s journey begins he doesn’t know of the horror of oncoming event. The sky is blue and the birds are chirping and the town is empty. The tumbleweeds blowing in the wind. Emily just sitting in her old run down home. She weeps for her past, crying for all her memories. As the sound of peace is soon disturbed by the roar of a car. Dust is flying as the town wakes up yet no one comes out.

As Bill drives into the town, he sees two doves on the ground. One of them hurt the other protecting it. He thought about what it could mean for a second then drove around. Not knowing the symbolism of the doves, he just threw it into the back of his mind.

He pulls into the park parking lot. He gets out of the car, he opens the trunk. He pulls out his tent, and goes and sets it up. Some leaves crunch, Bill turns and jumps back. “Who’s there,” he asks without a breath. A small squirrel runs out from the bushes. Bill takes a breath.

Emily notices Bill, and hides behind a tree, watching him ever so sudden. She never believed in love at first sight till now. A small smile was on her face, she was questioning how she would walk up and talk to him. Scared that he might reject her, that he might run away.

She finally decided how to meet him. “Hi there,” she says.  Bill looks around then goes back to pitching the tent. “If I come out will you not run away and scream,” she says after that.

Bill looks up and says, “sure, I guess.” Not knowing what to expect he was half scared, but not at the same time. Her voice was so soothing to him. He felt as if he was a little kid being rocked to sleep by his mom.

Emily comes out; Bill stares at her as his jaw dropped. He falls to one knee, and says, “Il n'est pas une beauté comme vous, mon c"ur s'est arrêté, cela doit être tout si réel, je n'ai jamais senti comme ça avant, tu es comme un rêve devenu réalité, je suis tombé dur pour vous, et son ensemble de sorte vrai.’’

Emily’s pale face turns bright red as she says, ‘’aw, french, but what did you say ?‘’

He replies with, ‘’I said, There isn't a beauty like you, my heart has stopped, this must be all so real, I've never felt like this before, you are like a dream come true, I'm falling hard for you, and its all so true.’’ He takes her hand and kisses it. Her hand went through his head, as she giggled.

As they stood there staring into each other’s eyes, a smile appears on their faces. Emily finally says, “you’re cute.” She brushes her hair out of her face.

“You have bright green eyes, I’m falling in love with them,” Bill says softly. Emily blushes a brighter red.

Emily asks bill,” can I show you around.” Her smile grows to an ear to ear smile.

Bill laughs a little and says,” yes, please. That would be nice.”  He stands up and trips over a stake the ground. Emily covers her mouth and giggles at him. Bill gets up and laughs for a second, while he dusts himself off.

“Careful,” Emily says to Bill giggling. She tries to help him up but her hand slipped through his hands.

“Emily, where did you go,” Decaf asks? Emily looks up and looks towards Decaf. “You know we aren’t play hide and seek,” Decaf says. Decaf keeps looking around for her.

“I’m over here,” she says turning her head back to Bill,” let’s go.” She watches him get up. She tries to hold his hand, as she walks him to Decaf.

“Who’s this?” Decaf asks staring at Bill. “Why is he here,” he continues on, angry that a human was in his town.

“This is my new friend,” she says. She turns to Bill and asks, “Who are you by the way?” Bill turns to Emily.

“I’m Bill Costello, a reporter and a published poet,” he says.

“Why are you here?” Decaf asks rudely, staring angrily at Bill.

“I’m here to do a report on this town for my job, but I think I found purpose,” Bill answered look at Emily. Emily blushes, while looking back at him. She kisses his cheek, as he puts his hand up on his cheek to warm it up. He smiles, as she takes in enough energy to become almost solid. Bill takes here by the hand and kisses her.

Emily melts out of Bill’s hands, as she lies on the ground, she smiles. Emily says “I don’t even remember the last time I felt this way.”

Bill answers, “If you become mine you…”

“Emily, let’s go,” Decaf rudely interrupts, taping one of his feet impatiently.

Bill offers his hand out to help Emily up, as he asks,” What’s your name?” Emily takes up his offer on help up.

“I’m Emily,” she replies, as she focuses on becoming partially solid, Decaf pushes Bill to the side and helps her up. “I’ll meet you here after dinner, I guess.”

“Why don’t you meet me here for dinner then,” Bill says.

Emily keeps smiling as she says,” I would like that.” Decaf starts dragging Emily away, as Emily and Bill stare at the other with a smile on their faces.

“Bye,” they say together.

can not say much about this but there is an excessive use of the noun Bill. You paid attention to detail, and that's good. Write more
