His final seconds

His final seconds

A Poem by Decaf

A single tear rides down the plains of his cheek
He lays as the emptiness of the room engulfs him
A subtle breeze from an open window caresses his body
As cob webs begin to build up inside him
Lost to the world that is within him
He cries out for his lose of loved ones
From which his actions created his loneliness
Just a slight touch of any faded scar,
Brings back memories of his mistakes to his dwindling mind
His tears have become oceans
Infecting his emotional wounds
He'll begin to drift off into his final lifeless state
As the room begins to slowly descend into darkness
The movement of his lips softly carry the words into the silence
The wind slowly lays to rest the words of motionless body
Only to be an echo in that moment of lost time

This is beautiful.

"Brings back memories of his mistakes to his dwindling mind
His tears have become oceans
Infecting his emotional wounds
He'll begin to drift off into his final lifeless state "

Great job :)

The poem had a sad tone to it. Last thoughts and words make the mind heavy with thoughts when we reach our ending. I could feel the regret and the sadness in your words. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
