A Touch Of Make Up She Wears

A Touch Of Make Up She Wears

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

A touch of make up she wears

Tidbit of rouge

On her high boned cheeks

Upon her face she paints a picture

Camoflages her eyes with a tad of eyeshadow

Highlights her lashes with mascara

Out on the town she'll be dancing with her beau tonight

French braid in her hair, she'll let go of her cares

Magic fills the air

As they dance

Keeping in time to the music

Escaping into a world of their own

Up until nearly dawn

Painting the town red

She'll be romancing with her beau tonight

Handsome and so daring is he

Enveloped in one another's arms they shall be

Warm passionate kisses they'll share

Everyone will see such a lovely pair

A touch of make up she wears

Rouge on her high boned cheeks, just a tidbit

She and her beau dance the two-step tonight
