My First Impressions Of You

My First Impressions Of You

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

My first impressions of you

Tall, green-eyed, quite a handsome man

Long dark hair flowing in the breeze

Your eyes, the way they noticed me

I'll never forget

The night we met

Nor shall I regret

Spending time with you

Beneath white cotton sheets

I hope you feel the same way about me

I shall never forget

The way you smile

The way you laugh

The way you have with words

Sounds quite absurd

That I remember these things about you

From the moment we met

So many years ago

I have held these memories

My first impressions of you

That is so sweet. Was it love at first sight? Seems to me that is when that first meeting is held so dear. Lovely poetry!
