I Can Still Dream

I Can Still Dream

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

I can still dream of far away places, far away lands

Chasing rainbows on hot desert sands, my kind of oasis

A beautiful hummingbird, I could hold in the palm of my hand

Nothing can compare, I can still dream, can't I?

Seashells whispering into my ears, the ocean's breeze

Tidal waves I could ride with you by my side, all of the way

I can still dream, can't?

Love you in the early morning hours as we walk on the beach

Love you in the evening as the sun sets in an array of colors

Dreams can come true if you just believe in their magic

Raindrops falling on the tip of my tongue, and snowflakes too

Emerald eyes that sparkle like the morning dew, and you

As I dream I am horse back riding and white water rafting

Me and you, I can still dream, can't I?
