Two Ships Passing

Two Ships Passing

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Two ships passing in the night, you and I

Waters are so still tonight

Onward we sail in different directions

So the story goes, that never the twain shall meet

He catches a glimpse of me

I catch a glimpse of him as we

Pass each other on the street

Saying hello, and now, saying goodbye

Parting ways is such sweet sorrow

As we become estranged

Sail on my love

Sail on through the darkness of this night

I will light a candle in the wind for you

No one know where art thou shall go

Gone from my view and our of my sight like those two mighty ships
