He Causes Me Butterflies

He Causes Me Butterflies

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

He causes me butterflies

Each time he walks by

Causes me to be so shy

A sweet soft spoken guy

Up until now, I was lonely & blue

So lost & sad, it's true

Each time we meet, he smiles my way

So I wonder if he knows how he brightens my day

My heart skips a beat, it feels so neat

Each time he walks by, he causes me butterflies

Beautiful feeling emerge

Until I am on the verge, of blushing

These magical butterflies come rushing

These cheeks of mine turn crimson red with emotion

Entertaining the notion that one of these days he'll ask me out on a date

Reeling with this lovely feeling that perhaps he could be my soul mate

Forget about my troubles and woes, as a sparkle of hope in my heart grows

Love is in the air as I ponder thought of us as a pair

I really like him a lot, in my heart for him there is a soft spot

Each time he walks by, he causes me butterflies

Smiles my way, as he brightens my day
