A Manic Mind

A Manic Mind

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

A Manic Mind

Lying awake

Staring at the ceiling

So hard to sleep at night

They call it a manic mind

Depression succumbs me

Numbs me

Mixed feelings and emotions

Dreams

Nightmares

Worries, cares and prayers

Staring off into space

Tossing and turning

My heart yearning

For my soulmate

Staying up too late

Fighting sleep

It never comes easy

As I lie here

Wide awake

A wonderful job and look at the experiences that are going on within you. The only thing I would cange would be the size of the text font...Great job.
