Lonely Widow

Lonely Widow

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

A lonely widow cries

When her lover dies

She falls apart

Carries a broken heart

She mourns

She grieves

Sooner or later she must let him go

Allow him to soar with eagles

Far above a mountains crest

As she holds her children to her breast

Isn't that the way of it. Nicely written, Deb.

This is a beautiful written but heart wrenching poem. I have often thought of what if,
what if my husband were to die before me. My answer has always been that I honestly
don't think I would have the will to go on. I can not and refuse to see my life without
him. My mother has so often told me, You will go on with your life just as I have done,
but I just can't see that. However when faced with something like this we don't really
know what we will do untill that situation comes to us. I hope it never does. I have often
told my husband that I hope I die before him. but we never know and we choose can we, ??

A beautiful poem.
