Down Matzinger Road

Down Matzinger Road

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

D own Matzinger Road there's a shallow creek

O n the opposite side of the railroad tracks

W inds down through the forest so beautifully

N ot many have traveled there to feel such solitude

M y favorite place to be alone

A  fishing pole and a can of earthworms

T here I have memories of my children playing in the forest

Z epher winds blew through my long dark hair

I  love the creek and the water is fresh for swimming

N o one can imagine how quiet and serene it is

G ives me a place to rest and kick off my shoes

E xperience the loveliness of nature at it's best

R elax by the shore and take in the view

R est assured I enjoy this solitary place in the summer, winter, spring & fall

O ften you can watch the bluegills and the perch jumping in the water

A n awesome place to spend time away from a chaotic world

D own Matzinger Road I love to be just be alone by a campfire light
