One Day At A Time

One Day At A Time

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Things are looking up today

A spark of hope came our way

A renewed sense of strength arose

As this day came to a close

No longer will we stumble

At the end of the darkest tunnel

We've begun to see a ray of light

Sleep shall come much easier tonight

For my three tiny angels, I said my prayers

To the lord, I took my cares

A mountain we must climb

One day at a time

I could almost hear the sigh of relief, as the barrage of bad news lessened somewhat, and the horizon once more became visible. The crisp couplets convey your newly re-found hopefulness very effectively. I hope sincerely that things continue to improve for your family, Debi!

This was a very lovely piece. An age old saying, with new life breathed into it. Nicely done.
