This Silence Is Killing Me

This Silence Is Killing Me

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

T his silence is killing me

H ome just isn't like it use to be

I  wish that we could talk like families are supposed to do

S top being so afraid to communicate our feelings to one another

S eems like ages since we just sat down together in quiet conversation

I  surely miss those days spending leisure time with you

L etting go of painful memories isn't an easy thing to do

E ach of us has been hurt in our own way

N o one said it would be easy getting through the hard times

C ome gather round the table and let us makes amends

Each of us in sweet harmony

I  sure miss the laughter and the tears we use to share

S ometimes it helps to ease the burdens when you

K now your family is there for you no matter what the situation

I  just want you all to know that I love you very much

L onging for your hugs, your kisses and such

L iving with you my dear family

I s the most wonderful adventure

N o one else could ever take your place in my heart, so come

G ather round the table and let us make amends

M ay we share our heartaches and our blessings, our sorrows and our joys

E ach and every day in our own special way

Very touching and yes families are always near and dear. Sometimes we get so busy and caught up and don't always like to share. I love your message in here. It is an important one and I love the last line. Excellent write my friend!
