Out Of Loneliness

Out Of Loneliness

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

O ut of loneliness I have found you

U naware of the danger of loving me

T he way you want it to be between us, baffles me

O ffering me the gift of your love is quite fascinating

F lattering to my heart but can you see me

L onging to be with someone, driven by emotional and physical needs

O ught not to step too close for you may get burned by your own desire

N o one to put out the irresistable fire

E agerly you kiss my lips

L onging for more

I  often resist

N ot wanting you to be hurt and yet I fall into your waiting arms

E mbracing you out of loneliness

S eems so unfair as we lay here

S ide by side

The first thing I thought of as I read this, was torture...being pulled in two different directions. The needs and wants of the physical being, but the hesitation of reality, a warning of sorts...knowing your heart is not there...YET!!!!!!! but it may be at some point.
