I Find Myself Shedding Lonely Tears

I Find Myself Shedding Lonely Tears

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

I  find myself shedding lonely tears

F or you my love, are no longer here with me

I  find myself lost in thought tonight as I write this poem

N eeding you so

D esperately

M issing

Y ou

S eems like an

E ternity

L ife without you seems so meaningless

F rustrations of a poet

S pilling onto empty pages

H olding on to the precious memories we made

E xpressing my doubts, my sorrows and my fears

D elusions of grandeur form in my manic mind

D earest friend

I  shall

N o longer

G rieve for you, my darling son

L est I fall asleep and dream

O f another time, another place when you my love were so

N ear to me that I could reach out and touch your face

E mbrace you with

L oving arms and hold

Y ou so close to my breast

T his is me, shedding lonely teardrops

E specially for you on the warmest of summer nights

A rranging poetic words which come from my heart

R obert, I love you

S o very much

I cannot imagine what it would be like to lose a child this way. This poem is a very heartfelt tribute to him.

perfectly sad; beautifully written.

So sad, but I must confess that the "SHEDDING" stanza seems out of place with the rest of the piece. Good write though. Touching and full of longing.

A beautiful tribute to your son. You so lovingly and eloquently tell of the agony that would haunt a mother over the loss of her most precious possession, a child. They are totally ours until the coming of age and we, with great hesitation, release them to the world with a prayer that it be kind to them. The gift of a child, we keep the packaging in which they were carried and all the wonderful memories that were created after their arrival. You bleed emotion in this piece of artistry. May the Spirits of the sky continue to send comfort to you. I am sure the heavens opened their vast portals and rained tears of welcome for your precious child.

Marvelous, perfect and pure expression of longing love to someone, spoken through written words matching perfectly according to the poem's title. Just beautiful is not enough to describe this piece of writing. I acknowledge the true artist within you, a true poetess. Simply wonderful!
