Lazy Jerk

Lazy Jerk

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

there must be something she fears

putting up with him now for ten years

so many times he has brought her to tears

he doesn't appreciate anything she does for him

as she caters to his every whimper, whine and whim

the longer she stays with this guy her future looks dim

he refuses to get a job and doesn't know the meaning of work

he sits around and plays video games all day, he is such a lazy jerk

she cooks, cleans, does his laundry and at her he does smirk

there must be something she fears

putting up with him now for ten years

so many times he has brought her to tears

So emotional here, so heart breaking as well.

The definite circle of abuse, whether it be emotional or mental is shown in this work, whether you meant to do that or not.
