Alone In The DarkA Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa
Sometimes I find myself afraid To be alone in the dark of the night So I fall asleep with the lights on With the covers pulled up over my head Toss and turn as dreams turn to nightmares ****************************************************************** A lone in the dark L onliness fills my nights O ften my thoughts race N ot a soul in sight E ndless is my plight
I am afraid of my own shadow N ot to mention the ones on the walls
T he darkness beckons me with thoughts of H eaven and hell E ternal bliss or everlasting sorrows
D ancing with thoughts of death at my door A fraid of my own demise R eaching out into the sea of the unknown K eeping one eye open and one eye closed
