My Angel's Three

My Angel's Three

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa
"

(a prayer for my grandchildren)

"

Y ou're in my thoughts tonight

O n this dark January evening

U nder the fullest of moons

R eaching out in my prayers

E ndlessly to ask the lord to bring you home

I  miss you all so very much

N ot a day goes by

M y angels three

Y ou mean the world to me

T he thought of losing you breaks my heart in two

H oping that soon you'll be home lying safe and snug in your beds

O ut of foster care and placed with your true family

U ntil then all I can do is hope and pray they are taking good care of you

G od knows we love you so and I pray for your mom to stay well for you

H ow in the world this could happen to us I'll never know

T hree angels were sent to us the day that you were born

S incerely I pray for all of us to be together soon

The story behind this piece is tragic..I feel it. I understand it. My grandsons live in Kansas. We live in Ohio. Christmas day we get a call from Lakisha she is in Indiana with the boys, and should be at our house in a few hours. We waited, and waited, and waited. We finally called and my youngest garndson answered(5 yrs old) I asked "Where are you?" He casually said"At home." I asked him was he coming to see Pa Pa, and he said no. " I'm in Kansas." She lied. One of the cruelest acts you could do. Like you, I love my grand children, but have no control. I pray for you and your grand children. You really wrote the depth of the Grand Parents love. Rain..

I pray that this tragic issue is resolved and you have your angels home once again. May God bring his hand over you and give you the strength to maybe find a way to help bring these babies back into the fold. until then, let us all pray for their safety and happiness.
