Hey BartenderA Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa(please don't drink and drive)
hey bartender
come on down here
pour me a beer
so I can cry a tear or two
you know I'm just a pretender
hiding behind this glass
the one I hold in my shaking hand
hey bartender
thank you kindly
I knew you'd understand
hey bartender
by the way
the next round is on me
It's happy hour
I'm as blue as I can be
hey bartender
do you see that guy over there
dancing with that new gal
do you remember
when he use to dance with me
hey bartender
come on down here
pour me a beer
call me a taxi
I'm outta here
