The Country Connection

The Country Connection

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa
"

(please don't drink and drive)

"

The Country Connection

Just an old neighborhood nightclub

A place to meet old friends and new

Nice to relax and have a drink or two

Listen to the band play on the weekends

Sing karoke during the week

Whatever your pleasure

Dancing was mine

I love to dance

You can make such sweet romance

Swirling across the wooden dancefloor

We had such fun

Arm in arm

Your hand touching my waist

Our footsteps in time to the music

Listening to our favorite tunes

Under a neon moon

Reflections of you and I

At the Country Connection

You did a great job of painting a beautiful picture with words, you didn't really need the picture!

My favorite line was... "Under a neon moon" beautiful imagery.

I enjoyed reading, excellent write!

Oh, I love this! It is very comforting and soothing, the kind of write I love to read in front of the fire with a hot cup of coffee. Excellent!
