This Old House

This Old House

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Tomorrow will tell

When it becomes today

Whether we stay or whether we go

This old house has kept a roof over our heads

Though it needs so much work

We can't keep up with it anymore

This old house has kept us out from the cold

Though it is drafty as can be

It's still the place that we call home

This old house has kept us out of the rain

Though the roof leaks here and there

If the walls could only talk

I wonder what they would say

Tomorrow will tell

When it becomes today

Whether we stay or whether we go

Oh, this sounds sad....is it a true write? I do hope you may remain if it is a true write! So many are finding their lives rearranged these days!
God bless!
