She's Broken

She's Broken

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Life isn't always fair

Some things you can't change

Like a failed marriage

A broken home

A death in the family

Some things you can't change

Words spoken out of anger

Can't be taken back

A slap in the face

Or the blow of a fist

Some things you can't change

Sometimes I wonder why

Things happen the way they do

Seem to turn out so bad

You know it hurts so deep inside

Living with these sad memories

Some things you can't change

She's broken

She is me

The best part about hitting rock bottom is that the only way to go is up. I wouldn't change a single bit of my past pains that have made me who i am today. But with courage, i will change what i can. And that is the future. Abuse is an ugly thing ... but from the ashes rose the phoenix. I felt the sorrow in your words too clearly. Wonderful.

I think many people can relate to this one. Some things can never be changed. That is so true. Sad mostly, but so true. I thought this was write was very heartfelt and poignant. We all have been here in one way or another. Nicely expressed!

You're not the only one who's felt that way...there are many people, including me whom have shared the same thoughts.

I loved this. I could relate so easily...

Wonderful job...

Always,

I used to sit around like this back in my younger days wondering whay the world was against me so I can put myself into this write as this person. But I now know it's the past that can me as strong as I am today. I know I can't change it no matter how hard I try. The past is the past and teh future is present, I have to look for a brighter future, So I can really relate to this and sorry for any pains in your life. Prayer always seems to work when all hope is gone.
