Sad Poems

Sad Poems

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

This is me

Turning off the tv

This is me

Turning on the tv

This is me

Lying on my bed

Sad poems in my head

Words unspoken

Promises broken

No news is good news

Sing the blues

Change the channel

On the tv

This is me

Turning off the tv

Lying on my bed

Sad poems in my head

Too many worries

Too many woes

Too many I'm sorry's

Too many foes

This is me

Turning on the tv

Comercial break

Too late to concentrate

This is me

Turning off the tv

Lying in my bed

Sad poems in my head

This has an interesting rhythm, it feels almost like the rocking of a boat being tossed back and forth by the restless, directionless waves of a storm. It draws you in and lulls even as it creates a sense of chaos. I think you have shown the wonderful paradox of a mind that is distressed and seeking rest. Good job.

This is a good work, laying all the emotions on the line as this stream of consciousness unfolds to the reader. Well done, and anyone reading can feel the moods you go through in this work

I like the stream-of-consciousnes aspect of this work. The longin expressed is quite poignant. Thank you.

This is so dark and full of sadness, I can really relate myself with it!

Oh! Wow! This could have been my life right here, After my bitter Divorce I used to be this way, trying to regain trust. Somtimes it's hard to break certain molds and what hurts the soul. This is so very heartfelt and very emotional and touched me deeply.

I think this one will be well received by the creative people. We tend to relate to the emotion and turbulence you write of. So well I understand the restless night when a sad poem will not let you be.
