LOCK THE DOOR

LOCK THE DOOR

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

  LOCK THE DOOR

L ock the doors!

O kay, the doors are locked!

C an't help but recall the many times he use to tell me to lock the doors.

K eep the bad guys from breaking and entering, no trespassing here.

T he funny part of it is I should have locked him out, too!

H e stole from me, he used me and abused me and I gave him a set of keys.

E nded in a divorce, of course!

D oors finally got locked and I changed the keys so he couldn't get in.

O h, but he did through a window he slid his way in to my house.

O f course, I called police and had him arrested the very next day he was

R eleased on his own recogonance and I, well I moved to a new neighborhood.
