These Shoes

These Shoes

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

T hese shoes have walked thousands of miles

H eld my weight when I could barely stand

E mpowered me to stand strait and tall

S ometimes these shoes hurt my feet

E mbarrassing moments whenever I trip

S tumble or fall flat on my face

H elped me to get back up

O n my feet once more

E ach time I slip on these shoes

S hoes once shiny and new

Your attitude, heart and soul, reflected in words written about a pair of shoes. I love it. Rain..
