Trudging On Through Writer's Block

Trudging On Through Writer's Block

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

As I trudge on though writer's block once again

A cold cup of coffee and a half empty pack of cigarettes

Everyone else in the house is fast asleep

As I sit here staring at a blank computer screen

Too many problems

Too much on my mind tonight

Too many worries

No solutions

Haven't been writing at all lately

Chicken scratch at best

Beginning to think perhaps

I may be getting senile

Or perhaps, the poet in me is dead

I search for words

I find none

As time dances on

These are just my thoughts

Words written to fill an empty page

Feeling as though I have hit a brick wall

As I trudge on through writer's block once again

I sure understand this feeling. But, it doesn't look like you have writers block to me.

dont see writer's block here
you speak of the block
theyre beautiful words

when i'm consumed with doomed block
ma words speak as forced stiff words
lost is the rhythm nevermind the rhyme

The beauty in this is that its your thoughts at that time, captured and caged on this screan. Sometimes the best writes are those that mean nothing at all and then take on a meaning of their own. I like this one, thanks for sharing your thoughts.
