Beside The Still Waters

Beside The Still Waters

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

Beside The Still Waters

B obby, I walked beside the still waters with you today

E very where I looked I could see the smile upon your face

S erenely the river flows out to the sea

I thought about you all the day long

D own by the still waters just passed the waterfalls at Side Cut Park

E very where I looked I could see the beautiful colors of the changing seasons

T his reminded me of you and the last time we walked this path

H appy I was to spend that precious time with you my darling son

E verywhere I walked today I've walked with you before

S unshine filled the sky today with just a few fluttering white clouds

T he park was filled with families, children playing, and much laughter

I  shall remember you this way for you played here as child too

L eft your footprints in the sand and climbed the many trees

L eft me with these beautiful memories

W alking beside the still waters with you today my darling son

A loving tribute to you written in the form of poem

T hat I might share this lovely day with someone new

E xpressing the beauty that was you, may your spirit be free

R eflections of you and me in this river I shall always see

S tanding here arm in arm beside the still waters

This is just so lovely and very spiritual in every essence
and though gone he will always be with you, better yet
always will walk with you wherever your heart walks, and
only you would know when he is with you in that time of missing him
he will always walk with you by the still waters in your heart and soul!
This is most beautiful, such a ouching poem!
You created another wonderful accrostic one!!

Debileah, do you have an actual photo of this place. Many of us would like to stand quietly beside you and share with you these wonderful thoughts and impressions of your son. Words are poor expressions of the heart. Your soul alone can carry on, thru memories, sharing brief glimpses with others as you may.

What a lovely picture that helps capture the love in your heart. The above lines are my favorite. Personally, I read this as a rejoice that Bobby lived and touched many hearts. He must have been a remarkable man.

So sorry for the loss, this is written so beautiful and I can feel the emotion in it.

I could feel the melancholy sadness and aching sense of loss in my veins and by the end I had goosebumps and tears in my eyes. You have such a way with words, so much talent and it seems that the emotions flow so flawlessly from your pen. Absolutely amazing!

This one is achingly, achingly moving. I have just written about tranquility in a theoretic sort of way, but your poem is REAL. A poem by a mother about such a loss... Tis real life, real feeling, real love. I know it is sad for you to have such thoughts, but you express them with a beauty which millions of people would nod their heads to and say 'amen to that' as they think of their own situations and hurts. Such is life.

Nice, soft and calming. It sounds like acceptance and coming to understanding your lost. You always find the nices pictures.

This is lovely..In the last grouping ..in the first line there is "to" that does not belong there... you have been blessed with more than one child..I lost two and have none..Please do not forget the others while you pine for the one that is with the Father,,He is hapy and content..he wants to see a smile upon your face and the grief to go and see the sunshine of your smile again..love and God bless..Valentine
