Just Another Day

Just Another Day

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

J ust another day

U nlike the day before

S o nothing much has changed

T oday is my birthday

A nother day older

N ow when I look into the mirror

O lder is wiser they say

T he lines in my face

H old many memories

E tched with grace

R etraced as I cover them with make-up

D ark circles under my eyes I can hide

A nother day it's just another day

Y outh has passed me by

it can be depressing when a day such as your birthday, once a celebrated occasion, becomes just another ordinary day the same as the day before and thereafter.. very nice acroustic. I enjoyed this!

I KNOW HOW IT FEELS. BUT IT`S DIFFERENT FOR MAN A CAUSE IT NEVER STOPS THEY KEEP ON COMING TRYING TO MAKE US FEEL GOOD . OR FOR MONEY N THINGS LIKE THAT. IT`S A NICE FEELING TO KNOW SO MUCH THAT NOBODY WANTS TO LISTEN TO U BUT A FEW. HAPPY B-DAY

I like the reality of this. Most people on their birthday's try to drown their misery over the prospect of becoming more mature but this poem deals with the issue delicately, I think. The rhythm of it is quite soothing and the idea of making it acrostic was a good choice >:} Well done.
