Drowning

Drowning

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

D rowning my troubles away as I

R each for my half empty glass of liquor

O h what's the use of trying anymore

W hen all I can do is cry myself to sleep at

N ight all alone in my empty bed

I  think of you in my lonliest hours

N othing anyone can do or say to me

G et on with my life is what I need to do

Clear your eyes, toss the glass away and bury that bottle. Well put

True...get on with life, for the road still has others that you will be important to along the way. You have so much to give the world that should never be muddied by the liquid hell in a bottle. There is something good up ahead; gotta cut someof the painful emotional strings that hold you back from advancing on your path. So much good to do with what you know! Bless you!

This is so sad. Someone stuck in life. You did so well with the emotions in this. Very touching.

I used to drink heavily. I thought the alcohol dulled the pain, but I found out that it only prolonged it.
