Emptiness

Emptiness

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

E mptiness inside I can feel it in the pit of my stomach

M y world is a lonely place in which to dwell

P ark bench where we use to sit is now empty and bare

T his road I must now walk alone without you by my side

I have to search my soul and find what it takes for me to be strong

N ot an easy thing for me to do for I am so use to having you with me

E mptiness inside I can feel it in the pit of my stomach

S end me an angel to guide me on my passage through time

S end me an angel to watch over me and fill this empty void

I really like your acrostic work. You always give it a natural flow that takes it that one step beyond creating a memorable read. That is truly the mark of a great poem.

Nicely done!

The picture of the bench in the rain, along with the words, are both beautiful and sad.

I love how this poem flows

I know how it feels to feel empty inside, so thank you for sharing that

*Two thumbs up*
