A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

J ust random thoughts...

J ust random thoughts...

U nsure of where this acrostic poem will lead

S eems I have a headache tonight as I write

T o write about that would seem absurd

R andoms thoughts about writer's block

A nd the clock that keeps ticking over there on the wall

N ow I suppose I could write about that but I'd bore you to death

D eath, now that is a subject I know much too well

O n the otherhand I seem to write about death quite a bit

M y son died just last year and I found myself crying today

T houghts that ramble on perhaps to just fill up this page

H ave you ever wondered about such nonsense as this writing

O r is it all just a waste of time when I can't even seem to rhyme

U nsure of myself and of the future seems all I do is worry

G ood grief if anyone is still reading this you must be bored too

H ave you read any of my other poetry if you have then you must agree

T his isn't my usual type of writing just a bit of an experiment just to

S ee what going on off the top of my head, guess I ought to go to bed

Aaahhh...the age old topic of writer's block. I've written a poem or two on the subject before as well. This one, however, is very unique and quite clever. I like the acrostic style (though I'm not usually one for forms), it seems to emphasize the feelings.

--interesting lines...this is truly an "excercise" piece in getting out the things that us writers must "purge" in able to create the things that truly matter. Nicely done!

I read the whole thing. Hanging in there is tough, especially now...but you have shown a lot of strength in writing of it all and sharing your grief so that others might learn. I applaud your efforts for a most worthy cause. I'm truly sorry you and yours had to suffer for you to be here like this. Best blessings to you! ...Just keep going...you're doing a wonderful thing.
