Dear Mom I Miss You

Dear Mom I Miss You

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

D ear Mom I miss you more as time goes by

E veryday that passes makes me want to cry

A lot has happened since you've been gone

R obert died last year in a terrible car crash

M om I wish you were here and we could talk like we use to do

O h why does death have to be such a permanent thing

M om it just doesn't seem quite fair to be among the living

I  sure miss the phone calls everyday you know it gets so lonely

M om you always listened and had the best advice to give

I  miss your beautiful brown eyes and the smile upon your face

S o loving and so full of grace

S ince you passed nothing is the same and I worry all the time

Y ou should see the kids they are all grown up with children

O f their own. I just wish Mom that you could be here with

U s like it use to be. Just one big happy family...

Oh sis, what a beautiful, heartfelt acrostic. It's so sad to lose a parent, we never stop missing them no matter how long it's been ... I was raised by my grandmother and there is not a day that goes by that I don't think of her. It's been over 30 years and I still miss her ... You touched me deeply with this beautiful write, sis ... Love you!
