Midnight Has Passed

Midnight Has Passed

A Poem by Deborah Leah Krempa

M idnight has passed and you are still here

I n my heart and in my mind, I'll not forget you ever

D arling son today was your birthday, the weather was so nice

N ot a dark cloud hung in the July sky, it was a beautiful day

I  wrote poetry about you deep into the night last night

G iving way to the good memories that we made

H appy birthday to you from this side of heaven

T hank you for all the wonderful things you have done

H eaven holds you within it's pearly gates

A s I shall patiently wait to see you once again

S tay close to my side, never leave me alone

P erhaps when the rains come, they may wash away my lonely tears

A year has gone by and I must admit, at times I cannot help but cry

S o much I just wish I could hold you, in my loving arms one more time

S o sad that you had to go so soon on your journey to the stars

E veryone here at home misses the way you used to smile

D eath took you away so suddenly, today we celebrate your life

This is probably one of the most beautiful pieces I have ever read. I am so sorry for your loss... time really doesn't heal all wounds, it just allows you to learn to cope better. Out of your pain, you have created a loving testimony to your son, and it is beautiful. When I saw the title, I knew this piece was going to be something. When I looked at the first letters of each line after I read the entire piece the first time, it brought a tear to my eye. This is amazing. God bless you and your family.

I love the way you put Midnight has passes in the poem the way you did this had brought me tears and I really mean that as if I could feel the pain as you wrote it....You are a stong and great person to be able to stand up stright and write this peice with the soul and passion that you did..This is so beautiful and tearful I Know that who ever this was made for looks down at you and says ty and feels the love that you have for thats special one...I will also rate this one on a 100% like the last one it is great.....Belinda

Beautiful and personally symbolic. It takes a great amount of courage to broadcast emotions such as this, and you have done it flawlessly. Thank you for caring enough to share. I hope you are well.
