Look Out For The Other Guy!

(please don't drink and drive)

as most of my friends at the cafe

already know about my son's death

by a drunk driver just last year

i was just wondering what do i do

with the worrying about my other kids

everytime they step out the door

i pray nothing bad happens to them

but i worry about them so much

my nerves are always on edge

we've had so many deaths in our family

it's gotten to be that we expect it to happen

i guess i just had to get this off of my chest

my son's birthday is tonight at midnight

he's been gone a year and three months

god how i wish he were still alive

my daughter just stepped out the door

for a night out and i know they will drink

i just hope they don't drink and drive

and definately look out for the other guy

All of us moms feel the same way and not just about our own kids as I am sure you know. We cry for them all. We can't tie em down as much as we would like to. You are in my thoughts tonight and tomorrow as memories flood. Hold them dear...I dont have to tell you.

the fear is the other
